Friends of Finstock School (FoFS)

Please see below the latest Trustees Report to find out more about about FoFs, their aims and activities over the last year.

Friends of Finstock School (FoFS) is a registered charity (Charity number 1047546) and is made up of a voluntary team of parents, staff and governors whose aim is to enhance our school by organising fun social events to help bring together both families and the community.  This underlines the school’s role as an important hub of community life and in addition raises vital funds to improve the school’s facilities and environment.

Regular annual events include Christmas and Summer Fetes, Bingo and Quiz Nights, Discos, Raffles, the Finstock 10K Run, Ladies Pamper Nights and an end of school year Social Evening.

Also, in addition to this calendar of events, there are numerous other ways in which FoFS fundraises to help the school such as weekly cake sales, Bag2School unwanted textile collections and the monthly 100 Club Draw.

It is the aim of FoFS to fundraise for a specific item wherever possible and recent events have raised money to purchase a wooden gazebo for outdoor learning, iPads for use across the school, new reading books for each classroom and for a touring Pantomime to visit the school.

FoFS hold their annual AGM in the Autumn and generally hold committee meetings each half-term – new members and offers of support and help are always most welcome.  If you can help or support FoFS in some way, please contact the school office.
