Friends of Finstock School (FoFS)

Please see below the latest Trustees Report to find out more about about FoFs, their aims and activities over the last year.

Friends of Finstock School (FoFS) is a registered charity (no. 1047546) consisting of a voluntary team of parents, staff and governors whose aim is to enhance the quality of provision for all our school's children through fundraising and fun social events.  FoFS' activities bring school families and the wider community together, underlining the school’s role as an important hub of community life whilst raising vital funds.

Regular annual events organised by FoFS include the Christmas and Summer School Fetes; Bingo and Quiz Nights; Discos; Raffles; sponsored walks and the Cornbury Classic fun run; Ladies Pamper Nights and the end of year School Social.

In addition, FoFS runs ongoing recycled greeting card sales, school's weekly cake sale, Bag2School textile recycling collections and an EasyFundraising account (sign up at https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/finstockprimaryschool/). We also submit specialist grant award fundraising applications on behalf of school.

In recent years, FoFS fundraising has provided a wooden gazebo for outdoor learning; iPads for use across the school; new staff laptops; interactive whiteboards; teaching training; new Maths and English classroom resources; a "One World Week" of interesting cultural activities and experiences; subsidised visits of and to Christmas pantomimes; subsidised school trip and swimming lesson transport and much more. On average FoFS raises around £6k per year for school.

FoFS' Annual General Meeting is held in Autumn term and all are welcome to attend. Committee meetings are roughly each half term. New members, ideas and offers of support are always welcome.  If you can help or support FoFS in some way, please contact the school office or get in touch via our Facebook page:
