Term 1: Invasion Timeline Performance
Cedar Class shared their learning from this term’s history project, Invasion, through a lively Express Event that brought Britain’s past into the present. After studying what happened when the Romans left Britain and exploring the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons, the raids and settlements of the Vikings, and the events leading up to the Norman conquest, the children used their knowledge to create a dramatic performance.

They worked in groups to produce a sequence of freeze frames that illustrated key moments from this period. Each scene was carefully planned to show important events, from early Anglo-Saxon life to Viking attacks and changes in leadership. The children also wrote their own scripts to accompany the freeze frames to share the historical understanding they developed during the project.

The final performance formed a clear timeline for the parents who joined us!
