Positive Noticing Day 25/26
The first Wednesday of every term is Positive Noticing Day. This is a special day dedicated to recognising and celebrating the good we see in one another. Throughout the day, children and adults take time to notice and highlight positive behaviours - whether it’s great learning habits, acts of kindness, generosity, or simply being a supportive friend.

Pupils write thoughtful notes to each other, sharing what they’ve seen and appreciated. The atmosphere around school is always full of smiles, encouragement, and gratitude. This is a truly wonderful way to begin each term with positivity and connection.

Spring Term
For our spring term positive noticing day, we decided to link our cards to our termly values or justice, kindness, and friendship! It was a great way to focus our noticing on specific attributes!

Oak Class
Oak marked Positive Noticing Day by spreading joy throughout the school. Each child became an undercover agent, quietly watching for the positive choices their chosen person made. We spotted children helping friends with coats, welcoming others into games, and showing great perseverance with tricky tasks. The class then created thoughtful tags and cards to celebrate what they had noticed, before hand-delivering them—prompting plenty of big smiles. Oak showed just how powerful positive noticing can be in building a caring, connected classroom community.

Pupil Voice
Casimir: It felt good to notice someone being kind.
Finn: I liked giving my tag because it made her smile.
Arlo: I liked being a secret agent watching for good choices.
